FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT
Being a dancer is not only performing on stage but discovering how movement influences the outside world. Dancing through an intelligible sphere, where universal idea of movement collides with the void of life, contrasting between stillness & motion.
To truly inhabit a role, one must engage in a profound journey of exploration—studying the character’s essence, conducting research, and immersing oneself in the emotions that define its portrayal. It is not the stamina of the body, nor its god-like features, or the technical attributes that create authenticity on stage; these are mere surface elements. What matters is the ability to transcend the superficial and connect deeply with the backbone of character's inner life.
To fully embrace a role, the performer must cultivate a poetic sensibility, allowing their gestures and expressions to resonate with the audience on an emotional frequency. Thus, the dancer transforms into a timeless being, embodying the complexities of the human experience. Their presence on stage becomes a vessel through which stories unfold, inviting the audience to witness a profound unraveling of identity and emotion.
Upon discovering Madeline Miller’s acclaimed novel, "The Song of Achilles," I felt an irresistible urge to transform its poignant narrative into a ballet. Initially conceived as a short film, this duet will serve as a foundational step toward expanding the project into a full-length ballet that celebrates love with the utmost artistic integrity and sophistication.

“ To me, he has the makings of a great Danseur Noble, destined for Albrecht and Siegfried. He also looks dark and moody – perfect for Onegin and Crown Prince Rudolf. It’s safe to say that the future’s bright for this one.”

“ For me in this effectively run gala were Wegrzyn. Let's start there. (Well, he was first out.) Let's type it in capital letters: WEGRZYN. Blissful he was with Magri in the Coppelia. Such placement.”
- Bruce Wall
“The piece really comes alive, though, with the entrance of a third dancer. Stanisław Węgrzyn is a revelation, making a spectacular leap from the corps de ballet and more than holding his own as his character tangles with both of them. Suddenly the piece becomes darkly and slightly menacingly sexy - and all the more interesting for it.”
